Movement is good for our bodies
When we are active, blood and lymph flow freely, joint fluids stay viscous, and we tend to stay in motion. Activity is self-perpetuating and the feeling of well-being reinforces our decision to stay active.
When we are sedentary for any time, we feel the effects of our inactivity. Muscles atrophy, joints stiffen, and our mental state becomes less than optimal, many times leading to further inactivity, a downward spiral.
